Managing Table Time Alerts in Platter POS
Overview
This article explains how to activate the Table Timer feature in Platter, set time thresholds for color changes, and manage table monitoring directly from the floor plan.
Prerequisites
Access to Restaurant Settings in Platter Back Office
Steps
Log in to the Platter Back Office.

Navigate to Settings > Table Timer.

Toggle Enable Table Timer to activate the feature.
By default, this feature is disabled. It must be enabled before configuration.

Set the time (in minutes) for:
Turn Table Yellow After - The table color will change from green to yellow
after this duration.

Turn Table Red After - The table color will change from yellow to red after this duration.

Ensure the red timer value is greater than the yellow timer value.
Click Submit to save the settings.

The updated timer configuration will sync automatically to the Platter app.
How It Works
Tables start as Green when occupied.
After the specified yellow time, the table changes to Yellow.
After the specified red time, the table changes to Red.
This helps staff quickly identify tables that are approaching or exceeding expected dining time.
To Disable the Table Timer
Go back to Settings > Restaurant Settings > Table Timer.
Toggle Enable Table Timer off.

Click Submit.

The feature will be disabled in the Platter app.
Troubleshooting
If table colors do not change, confirm the timer is enabled.
Verify that the red time is set higher than the yellow time.
Allow a few seconds for the app to sync after saving changes.
