Pairing the Customer Facing Display

Overview

In Platter POS, the Customer Facing Display (CFD) is configured by logging in to the dedicated CFD portal. Once logged in, the display device automatically connects with the restaurant account and begins showing customer order details in real time. CFD allows customers to review their items, quantities, taxes, and totals as the order is being created on the main POS device.

Prerequisites

Before pairing the CFD device:

  • Ensure the CFD device has a stable internet connection.

  • Confirm that you have valid CFD login credentials (restaurant ID and password).

  • The CFD website must be accessed using the official CFD link:
    https://admin.plattermanagement.com/cfd/login

  • Only one display device should be paired at a time.

  • The main Platter POS system should already be set up for the restaurant location.

Steps

1. Access the CFD Login Page

  1. On the CFD display device, open a web browser.

  2. Go to: https://admin.plattermanagement.com/cfd/login

  3. Platter will automatically generate the default CFD image on the screen.

2. Log into CFD

  1. Look at the bottom-left corner of the CFD screen.

  2. A dialog box will appear requesting login credentials.

  3. Enter your CFD ID and password.

4. Tap Login to proceed.

3. Configure CFD Settings

After logging in, the configuration screen will appear.

You will be asked to select:

  • Restaurant name

  • The device or display where you want the CFD to run

Once selected, the CFD will activate and begin waiting for live order data from the POS.

4. Start Using CFD

When the cashier creates or edits an order on Platter POS:

  • Items

  • Quantities

  • Modifiers

  • Taxes

  • Totals

Troubleshooting

If the CFD does not load the configuration screen

  • Ensure the device is connected to the internet and is accessing the correct URL.

If the login dialog does not appear

  • Refresh the page or press the logout icon again.

  • Incorrect or expired login credentials will prevent setup - verify them with your administrator.

If the CFD does not show orders after setup

  • Make sure the correct restaurant name and device were selected during configuration.

  • For display issues, clearing the browser cache or rebooting the CFD device often resolves the problem.
