What is Interchange-plus pricing?

Card processing pricing that passes interchange through at cost and adds a set margin.

Interchange-plus pricing, explained

With interchange-plus (also called cost-plus), each payment is billed at its actual interchange and card brand fees, plus a processor margin that is stated in your agreement. Your statement shows each part separately.

Why it matters for your restaurant

It makes card fees transparent, and when lower-cost cards are used you pay less, instead of a flat rate priced for the most expensive cards.
